Cabot tennis players finish second in tourney

The Cabot Panthers and Lady Panthers took part in the Searcy Invitational Tennis Tournament recently.

Cabot’s Seth Smith finished as the boys runner-up. He won his first match 8-0; second match 8-4; third match 8-6 before losing in the finals 1-8.

The girls doubles team of Lexi and Tori Weeks finished as runners-up. They won their first match 8-2; second 8-1, third 8-6 before losing in the finals 6-8.

Others participating in the tournament were: Jacob Dills (2 wins), Turner Blankson and Tyler Majors (2 wins), John Long and Logan Kiihnl (1 win), Jordan Slayden (2 wins), Amanda Brucks (1 win) and Kristen Sumler and Molly Wood, who lost in the semifinals.
