Cabot sweeps 7A state bowling championships

The Cabot Panthers and Lady Panthers bowling teams are the 2013 Class 7A state champions after winning the state tournament Monday at Bowling World in Fort Smith. The Panthers were the defending the state champions. Team members include (top photo), front row from left, Chris Brown, Kenny Pedersen, Dylan Wilson, Andrew Felder, Tyler Lucas, and Zac Couch; back row, head coach Mike Nash, Cayden Cook, Adrian Nicholas, Jace Jennings and assistant coach Ralph Pridmore. Brown, Coook and Jennings were named all-state. Fayetteville was the state runner-up. The Lady Panthers’ title was their third in five seasons. Team members (photo at right), include, front row from left, Megan Bugiel, Haley Patterson, Shelby Smith; middle, Micah Perry, Corbin Friddle, Allie Stalnaker, Miranda Antimo, Shelby Eddy; back row, Nash, Stephanie Young and Pridmore. Shelby Smith was the gold medalist and made all-state. Bentonville was the state runner-up.
