Cabot races past Lakewood, Lonoke

The Cabot Piranhas put together a dominant performance Saturday at Lakewood in a three team meet, scoring 796 points to easily outdistance Lakewood’s 187 and Lonoke’s 141.

Cabot swimmers won the vast majority of the events and divisions. The Piranhas had 46 different swimmers pick up first place points during the meet.

6-Under Boys

Connor Hayre took first in the gold freestyle and backstroke. Gideon Breedlove finished first in the bronze free and back.

6-Under Girls

Lilianna Strassner won the gold free, the silver back, and the bronze butterfly. Micah Madar won the bronze back.

7-8 Boys

Grant Goodnight won the silver free and breaststroke, while also taking first in the bronze back. Maddox Wohlsghlaeger won the bronze free, Christian Tolbert took the bronze butterfly and Jacobt Taylor won the silver butterfly.

7-8 Girls

Grace Esteban had a great meet, winning the platinum free, breast and butterfly, while also winning the silver back. Kendal LeQuieu won the gold free, back and butterfly, and also won the silver breast. Elizabeth Esteban finished first in the bronze free, breast and individual medley. Madalyn Peck took the bronze back and butterfly, while Emmalee Crow won the silver free.

9-10 Boys

Maddux Bowen won the gold breast and IM, and also won the silver butterfly. Andrew Deese finished first in the gold butterfly and silver IM, while Ozbourn Melton won the silver back and breast. Ethan Darcy took first in the bronze free, with Kolton Fulcher taking the bronze breast.

9-10 Girls

Carly Madar won the gold free and back, and also won the silver breast. Greenlee Crow won the silver IM and the bronze back.

11-12 Boys

Jason Bongfeldt had a platinum win int he breast, and gold times in the back and IM. Dylan Skinner won the silver breast and IM. Cameron Sanden won the bronze free, while Austin Melton took the silver back.

11-12 Girls

Grace Mackey won three events with the platinum back, gold free and silver butterfly. Jessica Bongfeldt won the platinum breast and gold IM. Emily Lynch took the gold breast and silver free. Izzy Dulin won the gold back and butterfly, while Molly Madar won the bronze free and back. Sarah Breedlove won the bronze IM.

13-14 Boys

Tristen Bowen was dominant, taking the platinum back, breast and IM with a gold free for good measure. Chase Foiles won the silver butterfly.

13-14 Girls

Rachel Sweeney spread her times around, winning the platinum IM, the gold back and butterfly and the silver breast. Melanie Abbott won the platinum breast and gold free, while Shea Copeland took the gold breast and butterfly. Hannah Eilts won the bronze free.

15-18 Boys

Andrew Hupp won the gold free, back and butterfly. Chris Daniel grabbed first in the silver free and breast and a bronze back. Garrett Cardenas won the bronze free.

15-18 Girls

Maddie Darcey won the gold free, breast and IM and the silver butterfly. Kayla McGee took the platinum breast and IM, while Andie Weaver won the gold back and silver IM. Allison Kendrix won the silver free and bronze butterfly. Kristen Meyer took the bronze breast.
