Lois Wilkinson

Lois B. Wilkinson, age 92, of Jacksonville died Thursday, March 20, 2014. She was born June 18, 1921 in Tyler, Texas, to the late Alvin and Bertha Berry. Mrs. Wilkinson was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church in Jacksonville for over 50 years, a longtime volunteer with the Rebsamen Medical Center Auxiliary, and an avid quilter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Douglas Wilkinson, one son Alvin Wilkinson, and one daughter Betty Phillips.

She is survived by her children; Michael and his wife, Donna Wilkinson, Pamela and her husband, Rick Pruett, and Penny and her husband, Mike Dietz, all of Jacksonville; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Nona Cowan of West Monroe, La., and one brother Carl Berry of Atlanta, Ga.

Funeral services were 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2014, with a visitation beginning at 2 p.m. at Second Baptist Church in Jacksonville with Rev. Ron Raines officiating. Entombment followed in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
