Joyce Turner

Joyce Faye Turner, 76, of Russellville, died May 20, 2013. She was born Dec. 30, 1936, in Des Arc, to Harvey Burleson and Alma Wyatt Burleson. She was of the Baptist faith.

She worked for Princes Bakery, Uniroyal and Seven Eleven and owned Turners Reno Bar and Turners Custom Rubbish Removal in Mishawaka.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tom Turner; daughters, Cynthia Kay Turner and Karen Diane Turner; step-son, Phil Turner; brother, Boyd Burleson; and sister, Rachel Clark.

Survivors include daughter, Renee Padgett and husband Rick of Osceola, Ind.; step-daughter, Donna Horton of Elgin, S. C.; sisters, Mary Moran of Russellville, Mary Brown of Des Arc and Rita Weems of Hazen; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m., Wednesday May 22, 2013, at Carlisle Cemetery with Bro. Scott Miller officiating.
