Gale Cooper

Gale F. Cooper, 81, of Austin, died Saturday, August 17, 2013.

He was born Aug. 15, 1932, in Melbourne to O.S. and Pauline Anderson Cooper.

He was a Green Beret and served during Korea and Vietnam. Following his 22-year military career, he worked as a civil engineer. He was a member of Old Austin Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Morris Cooper; his children, Stephen Cooper and wife, Debbie, John Cooper and wife, Bella, Matthew Cooper, Elly Rumbach, Julie Jones and her husband, Monte, James Cooper and his wife, Lorie, and Michael Cooper; seven grandchildren; sister, Jane Sheridan; brother, O.S. Cooper; and a host of friends.
