Emogene Lambert

Emogene Stewart Lambert, 67, of Cabot died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013. She was born June 19, 1946 in Searcy to J.E. and Edith Mae Wheetley Stewart. She was a member of First Baptist Church Cabot and volunteered in the church’s First Care program. She was also a school teacher for 31 years in Cabot.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 38 years, Paul Allen Lambert; sisters, Clarice Smith and Wilma Juanita Fulks; and brother-in-law, James Smith.

Survivors include son, Ray Allen Lambert and wife Melissa of Austin; three grandsons; sister, Eva Overturf and husband Paul of Austin; brothers, A.J. Stewart and wife Rita and Wayne Stewart, all of Ward.

A funeral was held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12, 2013 in the chapel of Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home with Dr. Ken Overturf officiating. Burial was in Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Jacksonville
