Deborah Rogers

Deborah “Debbie” Rogers, 57, of Clarksville, died February 28, 2013, at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock. She was born July 17, 1955, in Little Rock, to the late Julia (Rowlett) Rogers and Ova Rogers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandparents, Esther and Alfred Rogers and Ruth Rowlett.

Debbie is survived by four siblings: Melody Reasoner and husband, Jim, of Clarksville; Mike Achten and wife, Brenda, of Cabot; Linda Rogers of Prescott, Arizona; Charles Rogers and wife, Sandra, of Charlotte, North Carolina; nieces and nephews: Karen Reasoner Weiderman and husband, Todd, of Castle Rock, WA; Angie Heffner and husband, Bobby, of Romance, AR; Kristy Brusso of Bullhead City, AZ; Kelly Spence of Phoenix, AZ; Max and May Rogers of Charlotte, NC; Selena Shissler of Olympia, WA; and a number of great nieces and nephews.

Debbie’s celebration of life service will be Thursday, March 7, 2013, 10:00 a.m., at First United Methodist Church, in Clarksville, with Rev. David Hanshaw officiating. Graveside service is 3:30 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Cabot, Arkansas.

In 1976, Debbie graduated from N. Hills School for Exceptional Children and was a 5-time, Gold Medalist in the State of Arkansas’ Special Olympics 100 meter walk.

Honorary Pallbearers will be friends and staff members of Forrester Davis Development Center’s M.A.C. and the residents and staff of Friendship Community Care.
