When he finally retired from working, he enjoyed morning coffee and breakfast with friends and family at several local diners. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed camping and four-wheeling with his family. He was a deacon at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Cabot.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 65 years, Rachel Louise (Lockerby) Massey. Other survivors include his daughter Debbie (Frank) Pullen of Roland; son Chuck (Joyce) Massey of Austin; brother Marcus Massey of Vilonia; sister Ilona Steen of Marshall; 4 granddaughters, 3 grandsons, 3 great-grandchildren, and his baby dog, Princess.
Visitation was Friday, August 2, from 5-7 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Cabot. Funeral services were Saturday, 10 a.m. in the same location.
