MOUNTAIN VIEW — A toddler who was missing for more than 24 hours in northern Arkansas was found alive Wednesday.
A U.S. Forest Service team located 3-year-old Landen Trammell during a massive search involving emergency responders from several northern Arkansas counties, state and federal agencies and hundreds of volunteers.
Authorities said the boy was discovered missing about 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Onia community, about 17 miles west of Mountain View. The search for him included volunteers on foot, law officers on horseback and the Baxter County sheriff’s office and Air Evac teams by helicopter.
The boy was found about 2:35 p.m. Wednesday and was taken by ambulance to the Stone County Medical Center for evaluation. Authorities said he was covered with mud but appeared to be in good condition.
