Davis declared a patriot: Cabot Chief Of Police Chief Jackie Davis was recognized with a Patriot Award from Arkansas Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) for extraordinary support of his employees who serving in the National Guard. The award presentation was made by Gary Wynn, ESGR Arkansas area chair, during the Jan. 19 city council meeting. Davis was nominated for the award by officer Darren White, a specialist in Detachment 1, Headquarters 2/153, Army National Guard. “The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them, have answered their nation’s call to serve,” Wynn said.
