On Thursday, April 17, 2014, the Woodlawn Community Center opened its doors at 10:30 a.m. Those attending were: Dennie Calhoun, Dorothy Williams, Dorothy Henry, Cecelia Anderson, Doyle Anderson. Janet Ray, Jo Ann Gotherman, Roy Kittell, Sue Grady, George Wilson, Rebecca Wilson, Mary Thate, Birtha Larkan, Hazel Sheets, Sherry Anderson, Cricket Findley, Anita Weathers, Martha Hicks, and Ellen Bryant.

President Cecelia Anderson opened the program, leading the attendees in reciting “The Pledge of Allegiance,” and singing “God Bless America,” accompanied by Anita Weathers on the piano.

George Wilson gave the invocation, and invited the attendees to remember those that are sick and in need of prayer.

Janet Ray, Hazel Sheets and George Wilson sang several special Easter songs, and reminded everyone “What a blessing we have in remembering “Christ the Crucified”and closing with “Amazing Grace.”

The Woodlawn Community Center greatly enjoyed having Dennie Calhoun, singing and praising God with his songs and music. Some of the songs that he sang were: “He touched me,”If it had not been for the Old Rugged Cross,” “He’s not to busy to care about you,” “Just Hold on,” “Wall of Prayers,”and several more.

Dennie Blessed the food and everyone enjoyed their dinner.

This Thursday, April 24, the Woodlawn Community Center has invited Darrell and Sherrie Tullos as our guest, a wonderful couple, to present a great program.

Come and enjoy our special Thursday event at 10070 Arkansas Highway 31 north. Come early for a cup of coffee and bring a dish for potluck.
