Woodlawn Community News

On Thursday, March 14, the Woodlawn Community Center opened their door at 10:30 a.m. Friends and neighbors that attended were: Dorothy Williams, Dorothy Henry, Cecelia Anderson, Andy Childress, Janet Ray, Adell Hill, Camra Moore, Linda Wright, Judy Johnson, Alice King, Sue Grady, Jackkie Maxwell, Mary Thate, Birtha Larkan, Anita Weathers, Shirley Jackson, George Wilson, Nancy DeMorville, Francis Cook and Irene Bell.

George Wilson invited everyone to join him in saying the “Pledge of Allegiance.” After “God Bless America” was sang, Wilson gave an uplifting prayer, praying for some friends and neighbors who are sick . He then blessed the food for the potluck dinner.

This was a very pleasant and enjoyable day, as this was “The Gift Bag Bingo Thursday.” There were many surprises and everyone enjoyed the day and their gifts.

Next Thursday, March 21, an inspirational speaker from Country Chapel, Pastor Steve Zumwalt, will enlighten everyone with a wonderful sermon. This will be a great day for everyone to come visit the Woodlawn Community Center at 10070 Arkansas Highway 31 north. Come early for a cup of coffee and bring a dish for potluck.
