Wedding wackiness set for Cabot Community Theatre

Cabot Community Theatre is presenting a weekend of wedding wackiness June 21 and 22.

“Here Comes the Bride… And There Goes the Groom,” a one-act play, will be performed Friday, June 21.

Millie Compton’s fiance bolts from the altar, leaving everyone trying to figure out why. The wedding just might go on, but not before a purse-flinging smackdown between the mothers of the bride and groom!

Students from Cabot’s “All About Stage” will get the evening started with a concert.

Saturday, June 22, will feature some local public figures and their spouses in “The Not-so-Newlywed Game.” Contestants will include Sen. Eddie Joe Williams, Cabot police and fire chiefs Jackie Davis and Phil Robinson, Dr. Scott Hill of Hill and Moudy Family Dentistry and Cabot High School band director Joe Trusty.

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 501-941-2266. Admission is $15 to each show, or $25 for both nights.

Cabot Community Theatre is at 204 North First Street.
