Vietnam veterans Welcome Home at Jacksonville museum

Vietnam veterans will be recognized with Welcome Home Day, Saturday, April 5, at Jacksonville Museum of Military History, 100 Veterans Circle, Jacksonville. Events will include a parade, a dogtag memorial to Arkansans killed in Vietnam, and an honor and remembrance ceremony. The museum will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for Welcome Home Day; there will no Museum admission charge for the day.

Gold Star families are invited to come to sign a 8-foot by 12-foot map of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. The map will placed on display at the Museum at a later date.

The event will feature Vietnam exhibits; displays and movies will be shown throughout the day. R.E.A.L. Girls will perform live music

The Welcome Home Parade will be 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.

The Honor and Remembrance Ceremony will be at 3 p.m., the POW/MIA Ceremony will be performed by the Little Rock Air Force Base Honor Guard
