Toltec Mounds celebrates Native foods

Native Americans long ago ate many of the same foods we eat today. Join a park interpreter Nov. 16, 2013, 10 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and learn about the traditional foods eaten by many Native Americans.

It wouldn’t be fair to talk about food without experiencing it, so we invite you to sample a variety of dishes as we celebrate Native foods.

The savory smells of supper cooking bring back warm memories of shared meals and as food is always better when shared, bring your family and friends.

Come early before the food runs out!

Admission: $3 per person, under 6 free.

For more information please call Toltec Mounds Archaeological State Park, (501) 961-9442, or come into the Visitor Center, 490 Toltec Mounds Road, Scott, AR 72142.
