Support for CASA

Court Appointed Special Advocates and Cabot Christmas Alliance saw benefit from the Harps Grocery Stores annual golf tournament with donations of $500 and $1,000, Cabot Price Cutter manager Jerry Davenport said Tuesday. The fall event raises funds for community projects, which are selected from requests sent in to a committee, Davenport said. “We were fortunate to be chosen for two the requests that we sent in,” he said. Norma Long, left, and CASA director Delyce Palik were given the check for CASA. Palik said the funds would be used for materials for the upcoming CASA volunteer training session, planned for the end of January.
