Senior citizen exercise sessions

Peer Exercise Program Promotes Independence (PEPPI) is a physical activity program, through the Arkansas Department of Health, designed for older adults to build physical fitness and independence.

PEPPI exercise sessions are held 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday at the Cabot Senior Center, 600 N Grant St., Cabot, next to the Arlene Cherry Memorial Library.

The AR PEPPI program provides older Arkansans with a fun opportunity to exercise correctly, exercise in a safe environment, and increase physical activity.

Older adults, trained as peer leaders, lead PEPPI sessions. The exercises promote flexibility, balance, strength and endurance. The exercises can be done standing or seated.

The class is free; all equipment is provided.
