AA meetings in Cabot
The Cabot chapter of Alcoholics Annonymous meets several times during the week at the Lonoke County Christian Clinic building at 502 Richie Road.
Tuesday: 8 p.m. Closed discussion
Wednesday: 7 p.m. Closed discussion
Friday: 8 p.m. Open discussion
Saturday: 10 a.m. Open big book study.
Retired Teachers Association meeting
The Lonoke County Retired Teachers Association meeting will be noon, Dec. 2, at CJ’s Deli, 3065 Arkansas Highway 367 south, Cabot.
All retired school personnel are invited. After the meeting, members will go to Spring Creek Living Center, 804 North Second St., Cabot, to sing Christmas carols. Non-perishable items for donation to local food pantries will be greatly appreciated.
Christmas in Cabot set for Dec. 6
The annual Christmas in Cabot celebration, sponsored by the Cabot Advertising and Promotion Commission will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Dec. 6, in the Cabot City Courtyard (behind city hall).
Merry-go-round, hayrides, display of the Cabot Schools Christmas Tree contest entries; a veterans Christmas Tree; music by local talent; and hot dogs, cookies, coffee and hot cocoa will be available.
“Bring your children to downtown Cabot for a good old-fashioned hometown gathering to celebrate Christmas in Cabot. This is a free event,” organizer Nancy Cohea said.
