A Lonoke County Sheriff’s office press release reported the arrest of six persons following a report of an attempted burglary, though only two of the arrests were related to the original report.
The report was made at about 11 a.m., Nov. 27 of an attempted residential burglary at a Kerr Road residence. Cpl. Jack Fitzhugh and Deputy Anthony Counts responded.
Deputies initially determined that a male and female had been at the residence but had fled the area after realizing someone was home.
Fitzhugh found the vehicle believed to have been used by the individuals abandoned on Bowen Road; Fitzhugh believed the suspects, later identified as Garland Williams, 33, and Shanna Jo Beck, 33, were inside a residence. Lt. Jim Kulesa and Investigator Keith Eaton responded to assist.
Inside the residence investigators found Sadie Raine, 38; James Williams, 36; and Stephen Martin, 35.
Martin and Raine were arrested for outstanding arrest warrants including a warrant issued by the Board of Parole. Later discoveries inside the residence led to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia against Martin.
Williams was arrested for the offense of interfering with governmental operations.
Tracey Martin, 43, was arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Lonoke Police Department.
Garland Williams and Beck were later arrested for the offenses of criminal trespass and criminal attempt to commit residential burglary.
All the individuals were taken to the Lonoke County Detention Facility.
