What newspapers do you read? What websites do you visit? Where do you shop? Pulse Research, an independent research company, is conducting a market survey to ask Lonoke County residents about their media and shopping habits. The Cabot Star-Herald, Lonoke Democrat and Carlisle Independent have partnered with Pulse Research to conduct the survey.
One objective of the survey is to evaluate how often local residents turn to businesses outside of the immediate market area to purchase goods or services. Each out of market purchase represents a lost opportunity to a Lonoke County business and lost sales tax revenue. Once the survey is complete, the newspaper will share this information with local businesses and work with them to find ways to keep more of those shopping dollars in Lonoke County.
The survey also asks participants about their media and web habits. By sharing information about viewing, listening and reading habits, survey participants will provide valuable insight into their likes and dislikes. Knowing more about the media habits of residents is important to local businesses.
“They key to effective local advertising is not only knowing what your customers want, but knowing they best way to reach them,” according to Emily Billings, General Manager. “This survey will gather both types of information in order to help local businesses grow and thrive and to keep local shopping dollars in the local market.”
The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete. All survey participants will be entered into a drawing for a $250 Walmart gift card. Entry into the drawing is made upon completion of the survey. All individual information will be kept strictly confidential.
