Four Lonoke County nonprofits among grant recipients

Fifteen nonprofit organizations — including four from Lonoke County — received funds through First Electric Cooperative’s Operation Round-Up program in December.

Community members on the Operation Round-Up Board of Trustees approved $12,500 in donations.

The Cabot Christmas Alliance, Lonoke County Single Parent Scholarship Fund and Ward Public Library each received $1,000, and Lonoke County Council on Aging received $500.

The program is funded by First Electric members who enroll in Operation Round-Up and agree to have their electric bill rounded up to the next even dollar amount each month. To sign up or to apply for funds, visit www.firstelectric.coop or call 800-489-7405.
