City of Cabot employee of the month

Fire Captain Jim Firebaugh was named City of Cabot employee of the month for December recognizing his hard work and dedication during November acting as assistant Fire Chief. Firebaugh was made assistant Fire Chief in May to fill in while assistant Fire Chief Mark Smart was deployed on military duty in Afghanistan. Mayor Bill Cypert said Firebaugh transitioned seamlessly into the position and his professional manner has made him very effective, managing large- and small-scale projects with ease. “Jim is a positive motivator who truly cares for each person with whom he has interaction and is eager to step in wherever he is needed,” Cypert said. Firebaugh was give a plaque, his name added to the employees-of-the-month plaque on display at Cabot city hall, his story in the employee newsletter, and treated to lunch with Cypert and director of operations Eddie Cook.
