The CHS Fine Arts Auditorium has been graced with the presence of talented students for years on end but the upcoming Talent Show fundraiser for the internship scholarship is creating a particular ‘buzz’ around the CHS campus. The event will be held on Friday, May 2, from 1:30-3:15 p.m. Admission is $5.

“The show gives students a platform to display talent that goes beyond athletics,” Dr. Martha Marshall, coordinater, said.

Thirty-one students will audition, and each hopes to bring something special to this annual tradition, especially the seniors.

“It was a pretty shocking moment when I won last year,” Josh Glason said. “I honestly thought that I had lost.”

This year, Glason is hoping for a second victory with an original selection.

Katelyn Hayes and Karlee Uhiren are ecstatic to sing “For the First Time in Forever” from Frozen.

“I’m really excited because we get to dress up,” Hayes said, “It will be a really fun performance.”

Glason is looking forward to the set list.

“Based on who is trying out, I think it’s [going to be] a really good show,” he said.
