Christmas for Kids begins toy drive

The Christmas for Kids committee has begun its annual Christmas for Kids toy drive, committee member Rita Steward announced. Christmas for Kids works side-by-side with the Cabot Christmas Alliance, Stewart said in the announcement.

Christmas for Kids is for families that need help during Christmas to give toys to children; the Cabot Christmas Alliance collects food to ensure those families also have the food they need, “So that they may have a good Christmas and enjoy the spirit of the Holiday,” Stewart said.

“We need your help and support to get this done,” Stewart said. Donations of new toys, or money to buy new toys, are needed; the number of families needing help grows larger each year, she said.

“All money and toy donations help only children that live in the Cabot School District. We try to help all different ages of children and with your kind heart and generous donation we will be able to do so,” Stewart said.

Toys may be dropped off, through Dec. 20, at any Cabot School District elementary school.
