Cabot woman wins State Fair Rodeo Queen

Bethe Barnett of Cabot was named the Miss Arkansas State Fair Rodeo Queen on Oct. 19 The competition was a three day event during the 74th Arkansas State Fair. The contestant competed in modeling, impromptu interview, horsemanship and private interviews. Barnett was crowned by Morgan McCraw of Cabot.

Barnett was awarded a four-year scholarship to Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, crown, a Billy Cook Saddle, and chaps. She was also received the Horsemanship Trophy and was named Miss Congeniality by her fellow contestants. Barnett will be making appearances during the next year.

Barnett is currently attending Arkansas State University-Beebe studying for the Veterinary Technician Program. She is the 19-year-old daughter of Jimmy and Sheila Barnett of Cabot.

Lauren Williams was named 1st runner up and Sydney Howard was awarded the prize for Best Stall Decoration.
