A press release from the Lonoke County Sheriff’s office reported the arrest of a Cabot man on drug and firearm charges following a traffic stop.
According to the report, at about 3:40 a.m., Dec. 23, deputy sheriff Clint Eifling made a traffic stop because of “suspicious actions on the part of the driver.”
The stop was made in the parking lot of a service station on Arkansas Highway 5.
A driver’s license showed that an arrest warrant from Cabot Police Department existed for the driver, identified as Christopher Carson, 32.
During the arrest, the officer found and seized an estimated 10 grams of methamphetamine, drug-related paraphernalia and a loaded revolver.
Carson was arrested for the offenses of simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of a controlled substance with the purpose to deliver, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Carson was taken to the Lonoke County Detention Facility.
