Arkansas State sees 700 graduate in summer commencement

Of the approximately 700 candidates, from 10 academic colleges, who received degrees at Arkansas State University, 11 are from Lonoke County. The degrees were conferred at the 2013 summer commencement ceremony held Aug. 2 in the ASU Convocation Center.

Dr. Lynita Cooksey, university Provost and vice chancellor for Academic Affairs, conferred both undergraduate and graduate-level degrees. The colleges are Agriculture, Business, Media and Communications, Education, Engineering, Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Nursing and Health Professions, Sciences and Mathematics and University College.
