Woodlawn News

On Thursday, April 11, the Woodlawn Community Center opened its door at 10:30 a.m. Friends and neighbors who attended were: Cecelia Anderson, Dorothy Williams, Dorothy Henry, Andy Childress, Janet Ray, Bruce Ray, Linda Wright, Judy Johnson, Betty Maddox, Betty Stewart, Sue Swayne, Dallas Swayne, Martha Hicks, Anita Weathers, Mary Thate and Jimmy Taylor.

Cecelia Anderson invited everyone to join her in saying the “Pledge of Allegiance.” After “God Bless America” was sung, Martha Hicks gave an uplifting prayer, praying for some of our friends and neighbors that are sick.

This was a very pleasant and enjoyable day, as this was “The Gift Bag Bingo Thursday.” There were many surprises and everyone enjoyed the day and their gifts.

Judy Johnson gave the blessing, and everyone enjoyed their dinner and fellowship.

Next Thursday, April 18, our guest for the day will be Wayne Connelly.

This will be a great day for everyone to come visit the Woodlawn Community Center at 10070 Arkansas Highway 31 North. Come early for a cup of coffee and bring a dish for potluck.
