On Thursday, Feb. 7, the Woodlawn Community Center opened their door at 10:30 a.m. There were 39 friends and neighbors in attendance.

George Wilson invited everyone to join him in saying the “Pledge of Allegiance.” With Anita Weathers at the piano, everyone enjoyed singing “God Bless America.”

Brother James Carter gave the opening prayer.

With the group attendance of 39, everyone came to enjoy the gospel inspirational song group from the “Voices of Truth, (Church) Praise Team.” And they were outstanding!

George Wilson gave the closing prayer and blessed the food. Everyone enjoyed their meal and fellowship.

Next Thursday, Feb. 14, it will be our monthly surprise gift bag bingo game day, with a surprise in every bag.

On Saturday Feb.16, beginning at 4:30 p.m., the Woodlawn Community Center will host a beans, cornbread and fried “tater” supper.”Prices are $6 for adults and $3 for children under 10 years old. This is a fundraiser even , sponsored by the Woodlawn E.H.C. The Woodlawn Community Seniors will furnish desserts.
