On Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, the Woodlawn Community Center opened its doors at 10:30 a.m. to 40 friends and neighbors.

President Cecelia Anderson opened the program leading the attendees in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, and singing “God Bless America,” accompanied by Anita Weathers on the piano.

Pastor Phillip Mealler gave the invocation.

After attendees sang “Amazing Grace,” the center was blessed to have “The Voices of Truth”-The Praise Team, an inspirational singing group of seven from the Covered in Blood Ministries at Cabot.

Brother Michael Sipe blessed the food, (chili and soup). Everyone enjoyed dinner and fellowship.

On Wednesday, Feb. 12, beginning at 9 a.m. commodities will be handed out.

This Thursday, Feb. 6, Ron and Robin House will be at the center. We invite everyone to attend our Thursday events at 10070 Arkansas Highway 31 North .

Come early for a cup of coffee. Bring a dish for potluck.
