On Thursday, Jan.23, 2014, the Woodlawn Community Center opened its doors at 10:30 a.m. to 40 friends and neighbors.

President Cecelia Anderson opened the program, leading the attendees in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, and singing “God Bless America,” accompanied by Anita Weathers on the piano.

Ruby Kittell gave the invocation, remembering all our friends who were unable to attend.

After attendees sang Amazing Grace, Larry Weathers, famous for writing and recording music, and his band, FredStaley, Pattie Weathers, R.J.Geenwood, Bryson Harpole, and Robby Reed, entertained everyone with music and songs.

Barry Weathers blessed the food and everyone enjoyed dinner and fellowship.

This Thursday, Jan. 30, a gospel group, The Voices of Truth from the Covered in Blood Church in Cabot will present a wonderful concert, with singing and music.

So come and enjoy the Voices of Truth concert at the Woodlawn Community Center at 10070 Arkansas Highway 31 North.

Come early for a cup of coffee. Bring a dish for potluck.
