Woodlawn News

On Thursday, Oct. 24, the Woodlawn Community Center opened its doors at 10:30 a.m. to 26 friends and neighbors.

President Cecelia Anderson invited everyone to join her in saying the Pledge of Allegiance, and singing “God Bless America,” accompanied by Anita Weathers on the piano.

Pastor Phillip Mealler gave the invocation and invited those attending to remember the sick and those in need of prayer.

The Thursday program opened with everyone singing “Amazing Grace,” followed by Gospel singers, The Voices of Truth from the Covered in Blood Church in Cabot, concert featuring keyboard and vocals.

Pastor Mealler closed with prayer and dinner was served.

This Thursday, Oct. 31, talented Debra Moore will be our guest.

Everyone is invited to attend the Thursday Woodlawn Community Center’s events at 10070 Arkansas 31 North.

Come early for a cup of coffee and bring a dish for potluck.
