Woodlawn Community news

On Thursday March 20, the Woodlawn Community Center opened its doors at 10:30 a.m. to 20 friends and neighbors.

President Cecelia Anderson opened the program, leading the attendees in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, and singing “God Bless America,” accompanied by Anita Weathers on the piano.

George Wilson gave the invocation, and invited the attendees to remember those in need of prayer.

After group singing and ending with Amazing Grace, the Woodlawn Community Center greatly enjoyed having Jerry Miller, from the Carolina Association with us. ( He is a special music coordinator for several districts in the state.) After quoting scriptures he sang , “Holy, Holy, Holy.” “Come Count Every Blessing.” “Faithfulness.” “My Jesus I love thee.” “What a friend we have in Jesus.” “How great thou art.” and ending with “Beulah Land.”

Miller blessed the food and everyone enjoyed their dinner.

This Thursday, March 27, the Woodlawn Community Center has invited Pastor Mark Brooks to be with us.

Come and enjoy our special Thursday events at 10070 Arkansas Highway 31 north. Come early for a cup of coffee and bring a dish for potluck.
