Woodlawn Community Center

On Thursday, Oct. 17, the Woodlawn Community Center opened at 10:30 a.m. to 16 friends and neighbors.

Janet Ray invited the gathering to join her in the Pledge of Allegiance and in singing “God Bless America,” accompanied by Anita Weathers. Ray gave the invocation. Group singing ended with “Amazing Grace.”

Denny Calhoun and his wife Connie presented a program of songs including “God Walks the Dark Hills,” “The Sun is Coming up in the Morning,” “I Will Be made Whole,” “God of My Soul,” “Get up, There’s One More Mountain to Climb,” “Just Hang on My Child,” “Enough is Enough,” “Satan Can’t Make Me Doubt It,” “We’re Fed By the Master,” “Seeking a Refuge for My soul,” and “There’s Someone Who Cares for me.” Denny Calhoun.

On Saturday Oct. 19, an open house and fundraiser, featuring Stanley, Watkins, and Fuller Brush was held at the Woodlawn Community Center. There are catalogs available for those who could not attend. Please call President Cecelia Anderson at: 501-676-3695 for more information.

Next Thursday, Oct. 24, the Woodlawn Community Center will host the “Voices of Truth” Praise Team from Covered in the Blood Ministries located in Cabot

This special event at the Woodlawn Community Center is open to everyone.

We are located at 10070 Arkansas Highway 31 North. Come early for a cup of coffee and bring a dish for potluck. We would love to see you.
