On Thursday, August 29, the Woodlawn Community Center opened its doors at 10:30 a.m. to 20 friends and neighbors.
Sue Swain invited everyone to join her in the “Pledge of Allegiance.”
Everyone sang “God Bless America” with Anita Weathers accompanying at the piano.
Sue Swain gave the opening prayer, praying for friends and neighbors who were unable to attend.
Janet Ray, song leader, sang “How long has it been?” and led the group in singing, ending with “Amazing Grace.”
The Sunliners, from the Hickory Plains area, presented a program of music and singing. Janet Ray gave the closing prayer and blessed the food for potluck. Everyone enjoyed dinner and fellowship.
Thursday, Sept. 5, Glenn Pool will entertain everyone with a wonderful program. So please come to the Woodlawn Community Center, located at 10070 Arkansas Highway 31 North. Come early for a cup of coffee and bring a dish for potluck!
