Johanson, Martin wed

Meghan Alyssa Johanson and Jonathan Robert Martin exchanged wedding vows at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013 at Cabot United Methodist Church. Rev. Brad Sneed and Rev. Andrew Kjorlaug officiated.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless A-line gown in ivory with layers of tulle and a bodice featuring beading and lace appliqués descending into a chapel train and silk ivory Toms. She carried a bouquet of white roses and orange calla lilies.

Kiersten Johanson, of Jacksonville, attended her sister as maid of honor. She wore a short black, one-shouldered organza dress, sparkling black sandals, and carried a smaller version of the bride’s bouquet.

Jackson Martin, of Ward, son of the groom, served as best man.

Carlton Anderson of Biloxi, Miss., cousin of the bride, and Clay Coffman of Benton, brother-in-law of the groom, served as ushers.

The reception was held at Rolling Hills Country Club in Cabot.

The bride is the daughter of Pete and Sharon Johanson and the granddaughter of WR and Shirley Daigle of Port Gibson, Miss., and Pete and Yvonne Johanson of Biloxi, Miss. She is a 2011 graduate of the University of Central Arkansas and is employed with Maverick Transportation LLC in North Little Rock as a regulatory coordinator.

The groom is the son of Robert and Tama Martin of Cabot. He is the grandson of the late James and Wanda Martin, formerly of Hot Springs Village, and the late Couch and Bonni Dennis, formerly of Magnolia. He is a 2004 graduate of Arkansas State University at Jonesboro, and is employed with Magna IV communications of Little Rock as a customer service representative.

After a trip to Mount Magazine State Park, the couple will reside in Cabot.
