April Leigh Henard and Bret Davis Lasater exchanged wedding vows Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at the Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center in Ferndale. John D’Arezzo officiated.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory gown of Venice lace appliqués on net with a sweetheart neckline and featured a lace keyhole back and chapel train. Silver and iridescent rhinestones and crystals adorned the waist and rhinestones and crystals edged the hip-length ivory tulle veil, which was exchanged for a Russian net birdcage veil at the reception.
She carried a bouquet of pink, purple, and ivory roses, hydrangeas, lisianthus, stock, coffee berry and dusty miller, wrapped in ivory ribbon.
The groom wore a boutonniere of purple statice.
A reception immediately followed the wedding and was held at a stone pavilion overlooking a pond at the Camp.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Rita and Jimmy Randolph ‘Randy’ Henard of Little Rock. She is the granddaughter of Bettie Hargrove Henard and the late J.D. Henard of Garland, Texas and the late Charles and Margaret Benafield of Lonoke. She is a 2000 graduate of Parkview High School in Little Rock, a 2007 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and a 2008 graduate of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She is a nuclear medicine technologist at Arkansas Children’s Hospital and Saline Memorial Hospital. She is also the co-chair of the young professionals group of the Greater Little Rock Chi Omega Alumnae chapter.
The prospective groom is the son of Dan and Linda Lasater of Little Rock. He is the grandson of the late Claude Jones, Sr. and the late Micaela Guess of Dayton, Ohio and Clista Lasater and the late Dallas Lasater of Garland, Texas. He is also a 2000 graduate of Parkview High School and attended technical school at Mobile & Media Dynamics in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is the owner of Lasater Customs.
