On Thursday, June 5, the Woodlawn Community Center opened its doors at 10:30 a.m. to Ellen Bryant, Sherry Anderson, Hazel Sheets, Anita Weathers, Bowen Weathers, Jackie Maxwell, Birtha Larkin, Mary Thate, Sue Grady, Emily Goodman, Sierra Goodman, Rebecca Wilson, George Wilson, Sue Swayne, Janet Ray, JoAnn Gotherman, Dorothy Henry, Dorothy Williams, Cecelia Anderson and Doyle Anderson.

President Cecelia Anderson opened the program, leading the attendees in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, and singing “God Bless America,” accompanied by Anita Weathers at the piano.

George Wilson gave the invocation, praying for friends and neighbors who are sick and unable to attend.

Group singing was lead by a talented young man, Bowen Weathers. Janet Ray’s grand daughters, Sierra Goodman and Emily Goodman, played the piano and violin. Other guest that sang and played the piano, were Hazel Sheets, George Wilson and Anita Weathers.

Janet Ray blessed the food and everyone enjoyed their dinner.

This coming Thursday, June 12, is the fun, gift bag and bingo day.

Come and enjoy this special Thursday events at the Woodlawn Community Center, at: 10070 Arkansas Highway 31 north. Come early for a cup of coffee, and bring a dish for potluck.
