On Thursday, March 7, the Woodlawn Community Center opened their door at 10:30 a.m. There were 27 friends and neighbors in attendance.

George Wilson invited everyone to join him in saying the “Pledge of Allegiance.”

With Anita Weathers at the piano, everyone enjoyed singing “God Bless America.”

Several songs were sang by Robin House; her main special was “Thank You Lord.”

Janet Ray, also sang several songs. She is the Community Center’s special song leader. She also led the group singing. And with Amazing Grace being the final song, Deloris Ballard opened the main event, as our inspirational speaker.

Specializing in gospel giving, with her gift in “Prison Ministry.” and with God’s Grace, she presented educational information. She made everyone aware of the terrible conditions of “Prison Life.”

Dallas Swayne gave the closing prayer and blessed the food. Everyone enjoyed their dinner and the fellowship.

Thursday, March 14, is “Gift Bag Bingo Day” at the Center, with a surprise gift in every bag.

The Woodlawn Community Center provides educational, social and recreational events at 10070 Arkansas Highway 31 North. Come early for a cup of coffee and bring a dish for pot luck.
