Nelson, Turnbo to wed

Bill and Karen Nelson of Jonesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathryn Ann Nelson to Dr. Kirk Andrew Turnbo.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter the late Claude and Anna Lee Jones, formerly of Wiseman, the late Billy Joe and Lurlene Nelson formerly of Blytheville. She is a 2004 graduate of Jonesboro High School and 2007 graduate of the University of Central Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in science and 2009 with master’s degree in occupational therapy. She is employed with Therapy 4 Kids as a therapist in Greenbrier.

The prospective groom is the son of Alan and Susan Turnbo of Cabot. He is the grandson of Joann Turnbo of England and the late Al Turnbo and Glendene James of Cabot, the late L.C. James. He is a 2002 graduate of Cabot High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Arkansas with a bachelor’s in biology and 2009 graduate at the University of Central Arkansas with a doctorate of physical therapy. He is employed with Arkansas Speciality Orthopedic in Little Rock as a physical therapist.

The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m., Saturday, March 23, 2013, at First United Methodist Church in Jonesboro. Everyone is invited to the wedding and reception, which will follow at the Hilton Garden Inn.
