Chamber Banquet tickets still available

Retired teachers to meet Feb. 4

Lonoke County Retired Teachers will meet 11:30 a.m., Monday, Feb.4, at C. J.’s Café, in Village Green Shopping Center, Arkansas Highway 367 south, at Cabot.

Feature presentation for the meeting will be Wade Knox Children’s Advocacy Center.

All retired school employees are invited. Participants should bring nonperishable food for donation to local food pantries.

Oak Grove Cemetery Board to meet

The Oak Grove Cemetery Board will have their annual meeting at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27 at the Oak Grove Community Building.

Chamber Banquet tickets still available

Tickets for Friday’s Cabot Chamber of Commerce Banquet are still available for $25 each or $200 for a table of eight. Reception is at 6:30 p.m. and dinner is at 7 p.m. at the Cabot Junior High School North Cafeteria.

Jane Balgvy, Cabot High School forensics teacher, is the featured speaker.

Dinner is beef brisket, green bean amandine, oven roasted potatoes, rolls and cheese cake.

Community Theatre hosts singing

Cabot Community Theatre will host an evening of gospel music, 7 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 26, featuring two central Arkansas gospel quartets, Hallejulah Harmony and New Livin.’

Cost is $15; refreshments will be served.

Cabot Community Theatre, Cabot’s only dinner theatre, is a non-profit organization, at CenterStage Playhouse, 204 North First St.
